So yes, I'm a genious and came up with the new best way to eat a quest bar. I'm that kind of girl who likes things really cold or really hot. So I thought, why not freeze my bar for a few hours and it'll be bomb! Well when I was ready to enjoy it, it was rock hard. I thought I ripped out my front teeth. I was not about to waste a quest bar! If I dropped a quest bar on the floor, I would STILL eat it....okay it's happened before and yes it was less than a 5 second rule so I still ate that baby. So I decided to pop my frozen quest bar in the oven and OH MY. Life changing!! It was gooey and warm and like a candy bar and words can't describe how perfect it tasted. Hashtag #froiledquestie and tag me to start the new trend ;)
How to: 1. Freeze quest bar of choice in the freezer for 2-3 hours 2. Set oven to broil on high and bake one side of your quest bar for 3 minutes until the edges start to brown a bit. WATCH IT CLOSELY SO IT DOES NOT BURN! 3. Flip your quest bar on the other side and broil for another 1 minute and then eat it in one bite Yeah you see this beauty? It's like a thick shake/icecream. I use three simple ingredients that doesn't use guar gum or something to thicken it. I always make it like this and when you freeze it, it's legit ice cream. I never posted it on Instagram because I thought it was just a simple shake, but I was wrong! So hop on the thick shake wagon and make this!
Ingredients: 1/3 cup water 8 ice cubes 1 scoop whey (I just received my new flavor, s'mores, and I love it! It's CHOCOLATEY but has that hint of like sweetness that reminds you of marshmallows. Might be my new fave) Directions: 1. In a blender cup, but your water and about 3-4 ice cubes 2. Dump your scoop of whey on top and them top it with the remaining ice 3. Put the lid on and start your blender. Let it go for about 30 seconds and then take the cup off and shake it 4. Repeat step three until all ice is blended and you get a nice, cold, creamy shake Enjoy :) What you need: 1 Quest bar of choice Unsweetened almond milk Directions: 1. Place quest bar in microwave for 10 seconds and break into 5 pieces 2. In a bowl, an 1/2 cup almond milk with quest pieces and pale into the fridge for about three hours, stirring 3-4 times within this period 3. Place in the freezer for about two hours and stir occasionally until you get desired consistency Enjoy :) My recipe for my buffalo chicken dip can be found in an earlier post :)
How to make mini taco shells: All you need is 1 light flatout bread Directions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees 2. Take a cup and press into your flatout to make your taco shells 3. Make a taco shape in your hand and hang it upside down in your oven over one of the racks - I promise they won't fall! 4. Bake for about 6 minutes or until crunchy, and stuff with my homemade single serving of buffalo chicken dip :) So I've made different variations of peanut butter cookies, but these ones are definitely a hit! Simple and delicious. You can never eat enough peanut butter! I doubled my recipe and got around 45 cookies - I probably ate 3 cookies worth of dough ;) What you need: 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350 and spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray
3.Roll the dough into "walnut-sized" balls and place 2 inches apart on the cookie sheet 4. Using a fork, flatten the cookies crossways, like you do the usual peanut butter cookie 5. Bake for about 9-10 minutes or until they are just starting to turn golden brown
